Otoe County tree planting takes place in Syracuse
In celebration of 150 years of Arbor Day and 50 years of Nebraska Natural Resources Districts, Nebraska City Tourism & Commerce has partnered with various NRDs throughout the state to gift a tree to every county over the course of the next year.

Guest speakers at the annual Fall Foliage Conference at the Nebraska Center for the Education of Children who are Blind or Visually Impaired included Brian Wojcik of the Assistance Technology Partnership in Nebraska.

Poster project
The Main Street Historians worked with Dr. Sara Crook and the Peru State College history department, associate professor Sheli Petersen and the Peru State College art department, and Citizens Printing to create historical posters for Nebraska City downtown businesses.
MJPL to host author visit, craft workshop
The Morton-James Public Library, 923 1st Corso, has two special events planned in early November. The first will be a visit from authors Lisa and Tim Trudell on Wednesday, Nov. 2, at 6 p.m. The Trudells will discuss their book, “100 Things To Do in Nebraska Before You Die.”

NCECBVI hosts Fall Foliage Conference
The Nebraska Center for the Education of Children who are Blind or Visually Impaired (NCECBVI) welcomed more than 50 participants at this year's annual Fall Foliage conference held on Thursday, Oct. 20. Participants included teachers of the visually impaired and orientation and mobility specialists statewide, as well as NCECBVI staff.
