Pink Pumpkin Walk set for Indian Cave State Park

The 7th annual “Pink Pumpkin Walk” will be held on Oct. 15 at 11a.m. at Indian Cave State Park. Proceeds will go to help and support the fitght against Breast Cancer during October, which is recognized as Breast Cancer Awareness Month. This walk is for all cancer survivors and in memory of loved ones. Preregister by Oct. 1. Registration fee is $25 and includes an adult t-shirt. Youth registration is $10 and includes a shirt. Late registrations will not be guaranteed a t-shirt. Call to order a personalized pink pumpkin in memory of a loved one, for those who have beat cancer and those currently with their fight. The cost for a pumpkin is $10 due by Oct. 1. No orders accepted after that date. You can take the pumpkin home with you at the conclusion of the event.

Proactive trade policy

Two weeks ago, I participated in a Ways and Means Committee hearing on the future of our trade relationship with Taiwan. The hearing explored opportunities provided by ongoing trade talks between the U.S. and Taiwan. In the midst of increased pressure from China through dialed-up military exercises and heavier tariffs, Taiwan is eager to strengthen ties with the U.S. and our democratic values.
