Blue Rivers Area Agency on Aging has released the senior lunch menu. The menu for the next week is as follows: Monday, Sept. 12: Beef goulash with noodles, Harvard beets, tossed salad, strawberries and bananas, wheat garlic bread.
Highway 2 traffic pattern set to change in Lincoln South Beltway project
Weather permitting, beginning today (Sept. 9), traffic at the east interchange of the Lincoln South Beltway will be moved into a new configuration using existing N-2 and a portion of the new east interchange between Yankee Hill Road and 134th Street, according to the Nebraska Department of Transportation (NDOT).
Kregel Windmill Factory Museum installs windmill at Nebraska State Fairgrounds
The Kregel Windmill Factory Museum and the Nebraska State Fair have started a brandnew partnership called the “Saving Farm Culture Initiative,” which is a 10year pledge of partnership between the Nebraska State Fair, the Kregel Windmill Factory Museum and the greater Nebraska community that aims to preserve Nebraska history and agricultural heritage by utilizing windmills and educational community programs.

A Special Nebraska Tradition
Nebraska has many traditions, but one of my personal favorites is our State Fair. For over a century and a half, the State Fair has served as an important annual forum to celebrate our state’s agricultural sector, as well as showcase the food, people, and culture that make Nebraska special. In fact, the tradition stretches all the way back to when Nebraska was just a U.S. territory.
