Blue Rivers bus office relocates on Central Avenue
The Blue Rivers Public Transportation office has changed locations on Central Avenue. The office moved to 713 Central Ave.
Open Door Dinner
First Christian Church at 114 N. 8th St., will be hosting its open-door dinner from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. on Aug. 9. The menu for the open-door goulash, dinner rolls, tossed salad and cake. The meal is free and open to all.
Council approves land purchase for future housing development
The Nebraska City City Council passed an ordinance that would allow the city to purchase land near CHI Health St. Mary’s for $460,000 for a residential housing development during the council’s Aug. 1 meeting.

Unified Showing Showmanship helps empower county youth
This year’s Otoe County Sheep Show got underway Thursday morning, July 28, with a fairly new class: Unified Showing Showmanship. The class, presented in its second year at the Otoe County Fair, offers special needs 4-H youth the opportunity to show lambs in the ring, learn animal handling techniques, and answer questions from a livestock judge.
