Many family ranchers understandably expected that to lead to a long-overdue profit increase for their operations.
Beginning July 25, some parts of Nebraska City will go back in time to 1991 as filming gets underway on Adam Rehmeier's "The Snack Shack," which he describes as "a love letter to Nebraska City." The story of what happens when a cute girl moves into the house next door to half a pair of boyhood best buddies who operate the concession stand at the local pool will be filming for six weeks around the community. Writer-director Rehmeier and producer Jordan Foley were the speakers at the July Hot Topics July 13 at the Morton-James Public Library to provide a bit of background on the film project and to answer questions from the community.
