Bring Home Memories, Not Ticks

Recently our family went on a camping trip. Our kids loved how we canoed our supplies across a lake and set up our campsite. My wife and I were reminded how much work it is. Soon our children were experiencing more mosquitos, flies, caterpillars, and ticks than they had ever seen before.

Christmas Wishes Pay It Forward to help cancer patients this year

Margaret Spiers' Christmas Wishes Pay It Forward project will focus on granting wishes of Nebraska City cancer patients this upcoming holiday season. Last year, the Nebraska City Tourism and Commerce Community Development Group and Spiers’ Christmas Wishes Pay It Forward project partnered to fill 8 gift bags and stockings for cancer survivors and 80 gift bags for Nebraska City's first responders.

Project Response receives United Way grant

Project Response is the fortunate recipient of $2,000 worth of grant money from United Way! These funds are utilized to maintain office space/functions in Nebraska City, so that the agency may continue to serve survivors of domestic and/or sexual violence, trafficking, harassment, and stalking–– as well as the community as a whole through prevention and education measures.
