Peru State women's basketball head coach Ian Holleran recently announced that the Peru State women's basketball team will be hosting a skills camp in late July from Wednesday, July 27 through Friday, July 29.
University of Nebraska Athletic Director Trev Alberts announced on Monday, May 23, that red balloons would not be provided for fans at Nebraska football home games this fall. The decision, Alberts said, is based on a helium shortage related to the war in Ukraine. Alberts also acknowledged previously stated environmental concerns related to the balloons and their traditional release by fans upon the Husker team’s first score of a game.

A dozen Nebraska State Troopers have been recognized for their efforts to keep Nebraska roads safe through impaired driving enforcement and education. Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) presented Hero Awards to the 12 troopers, as well as officers, deputies, and advocates from several other agencies and organizations around the state.
