Investing in young leaders

One of the most rewarding aspects of serving Nebraska’s Third Congressional District is the opportunities I get to engage with young people interested in government service. This spring, I’ve welcomed students from Bayard, Oakland-Craig, Boone Central, Summerland, and Doniphan-Trumbull schools, as well as Peru State College, to our nation’s capital. Fielding students’ questions is always a pleasure, and I deeply appreciate their thoughtful feedback and ideas about the issues we are working on in the U.S. House of Representatives.

UNK Order of Omega inducts Addyson Little

Twenty-seven University of Nebraska at Kearney students, including Addyson Little of Nebraska City, have been selected as new members of Order of Omega, Eta Nu Chapter.They were honored Thursday, April 14, during the annual Fraternity and Sorority Life awards banquet. Order of Omega is a Greek honor society built on the pillars of scholarship, service and leadership. It recognizes juniors and seniors who have demonstrated high standards in these areas while maintaining a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher. April NCPS board meeting features graduation candidate approval, summer project list

The Nebraska City Public Schools board of education met on Monday, April 11, and took the following actions: Approved the Class of 2022 graduates list from Nebraska City High School. Ninety-one seniors are expected to graduate on Sunday, May 8, at 1 p.m.; and Approved the building and maintenance projects and summer list plan that includes a total of 19 plans involving all four school buildings while school is not in session this summer.
