The Trailblazer Conference will add two schools over the next two years, according to Nebraska Public Schools Superintendent Mark Fritch. Fritch announced at the March 14 NCPS board of education meeting that Malcolm will join the conference in 2023, and Ashland-Greenwood will become part of the conference in 2024.
Linda M. Bell, age 82 of Nebraska City passed away on Monday evening; March 14, 2022 at the Ambassador in Nebraska City.
Lisa Renae Newburn, age 49 of Nebraska City died March 16, 2022 at her home surrounded by her family. Lisa was born January 12, 1973 in Lincoln, the daughter of Robert H. and Jeannette D. (Warkow) Bauch. She married Michael Newburn August 29, 2003 in Lincoln. Lisa liked reading, gardening, planting and tending to her many flowers, puzzle books, cooking and baking. She also enjoyed activities with her husband, children and family members. Survivors include her husband Michael and children, Victoria and Isabella of Nebraska City; mother, Jeannette Bauch of Lincoln; brother, Doug (Shelly) Bauch of Lincoln; many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her father; grandparents, Frank and Aileen Warkow and William and Mary Bauch.
