Sharing Memories

Just a couple of school years back, Nebraska City High School moved its athletics and activities from the Eastern Midlands Conference to the Trailblazer Conference. Other teams in the Trailblazer are Platteview, Plattsmouth, Beatrice, Ralston and Wahoo. That’s a total of six teams.

Emiko Page

Emiko Page, age 79 of Union died February 21, 2022 at the Bellevue Medical Center in Bellevue. Emiko was born April 25, 1942 in Japan and married Geoffrey B. Page May 7, 1970 in Tokyo, Japan. She lived in Japan and Washington, D.C. before moving to Union 41 years ago and she became a United States Citizen in 2004. Emiko had a child day care service in her home and cared for many children in the Union area. She loved collecting Precious Moments figurines, cooking, gardening, flowers, and spending time with her grandchildren.

Tutu Day at NCECBVI

Students and staff at the Nebraska Center for the Education of Children who are Blind or Visually Handicapped (NECEBVI) celebrated 2-22-22 as Tutu Day. Mrs. Robke modeled a tutu made especially for her by the residential students, Toni Bruce went all in for the special day, and Mrs. Graves struck her best ballerina pose for the photographers. While the food service staff didn't wear tutus, they got in the spirit of the day by adding large "2"s to their uniforms.
