Iowa State University Dean’s List

Aaron John Mead has been named to the Ivy College of Business dean’s list at Iowa State University. The dean’s list recognizes students who have carried at least 12 credit hours of graded or S-F courses with a 3.50 grade-point average or above for the semester. Mead is the son of Tammie Heller of Syracuse and Ron Mead of Des Moines, Iowa. He is the grandson of Cheryl Hauptman of Nebraska City and the late Philip Dean Hauptman, Ken and Carol Arthur of Omaha.

As Nebraska’s far right State Senators Steve Halloran, Steve Erdman and Tom Brewer all representing legislative districts located in Nebraska’s Congressional Third District support the Article V Convention of states, I critiqued Nebraska’s needs for a convention of states with extreme skepticism.

Coin Show Returns to Nebraska City

The 57th annual Nebraska City Coin Club Show took place Sunday, Feb. 13, at the Nebraska City Eagle’s Club, 600 First Corso, in downtown Nebraska City. Dealers from a four-state region were on hand to buy, sell, and trade coins, currency, tokens and medals. They also offered free appraisals. The Sidney branch of Arbor Bank

The Sidney branch of Arbor Bank presented a check to the junior class representatives from Lourdes Central Catholic. The check for $800 goes to support the venue rental costs for this year’s Lourdes prom.
