Troopers with the Nebraska State Patrol arrested several people during the holiday weekend following several incidents across the state. Saturday at approximately 10:30 a.m.

The Morton-James Public Library, 923 1st Corso, has announced its themes for January Story Time. “Button Up Story Time” is set to start at 10 a.m.

As the holiday shopping season concluded this year, Nebraska City Tourism and Commerce shared some statistics on the downtown holiday promotions. The Twelve Days of Christmas with Holli Day the elf had high participation, according to Tammy Partsch, NCTC tourism and promotion coordinator.

SENCA SMART (Strategic Money and Resource Techniques) Financial Literacy is available for all eighth and twelfth grade students throughout Otoe County for the 2021-2022 school year. The one-day event provides participants with an interactive poverty dimulation in addition to classroom activities centered around the Wells Fargo hands-on banking curriculum.

Monthly Summaries Each month, Nebraska City City Administrator Lou Leone presents a summary to the Nebraska City City Council that includes information on calls that the Nebraska City Rescue, the Nebraska City Fire Department, and the Nebraska City Police Department answered. November 2021 Nebraska City Rescue responded to 70 911 calls and performed 31 transfers.

The Northwest Missouri Certified Crop Advisors Conference is scheduled for Tuesday and Wednesday, Jan. 18th and 19th in St. Joseph, Mo. at the Stoney Creek Hotel and Conference Center, 1201 N. Woodbine Rd.
