The Kregel Windmill Factory Museum erected a restored Eli windmill across the street from the museum Sept. 12 at the city hall parking lot.

Loren Lockman of Double L Windmills from Murdock guided the wheelhouse in place.

Board members Dave Silcox, Howard Orndorff, Bruce Merrill, Duane Smith,  Tom Schreiner and Jim Stark helped along with Nebraska City Utilities. Other board members are Will Wittler, Erik Olson and Jaclyn Kreifels.

The 35-foot windmill is intended as a focal point for the circa 1929 museum.
