Ralston edges Pioneer girls’ tennis, 5-4

It came down to the last match, but when the dust cleared, the Pioneer girls’ team found itself one match short with Ralston taking a 5-4 decision in Saturday dual action.

Scores on the singles’ card were Curtis, No. 1, won 8-3; McCord, No. 2, won 9-8; Windle, No. 3, won 8-4; Valquier, No. 4, lost 8-4; Zayra Flores, No. 5, lost 8-0; and Brittany Ehlers, No. 6, lost 8-4.

Doubles scores were McCord and Windle, No. 1, won 8-2; Curtis and Valquier, No. 2, lost 9-7; and Flores and Emily Brown, No. 3, lost 8-3.
