Lourdes Coach Andy Fedoris knows what it’s like to lose a talented group of seniors, then try to rebound. It’s part of life at a small school.

Fedoris has also seen athletes thrive after waiting for their turn on the field.

Coach Fedoris said some players wait three years for their chance, then break records in the one year they get to play.

Added to that, Fedoris also knows that younger players got valuable varsity experience the last couple of years and should be ready to take on the challenge of a more significant role on the squad.

“I am pretty optimistic about how we can play next year,” Fedoris said.

The coach did acknowledge that it will be a big different without his twin sons.

Andrew and Ben Fedoris made major contributions to the team last year. After years of waiting to coach them in high school, four years went by pretty fast.

Looking forward to next year, Coach Fedoris said the team’s strategies might be a little different than they were this year.

The Knights might run a little more and pass a little less.

So the personnel will be different and the strategy will be different.

The schedule will follow suit.

Lourdes loses Lincoln Christian and Southern from the district line up and picks up Weeping Water.

The Knights also got one of their wish list teams for non-district play with the addition of Elmwood-Murdock to the slate.
