Dylan Betts and Blake Kennell will represent the Nebraska City wrestling team in the Class B state tournament at the Qwest Center in Omaha.
Tournament action begins at 8:30 a.m. Thursday with first and second round matches.
Betts, 25-4, a junior, will take on Zane Smith, 20-12, a senior, of Broken Bow. Kennell, 29-3, a junior, will take on Zakary Moore, 17-14, a junior, of Hastings.
Winners of first round matches will advance to the second round, to be wrestled directly after the first round. Losers in the first or second round will advance to one of the first two rounds of consolation action, which begin at 8:30 a.m. Friday. Third round consolations and championship semifinals will be wrestled at 6 p.m. Friday. Consolation semifinal and consolation medal rounds begin at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday. The championship finals begin at 1:30 p.m. and will be carried live on Nebraska Educational Television (NET).
