Dylan Knoell pitched a complete game by allowing one run, on three hits, while striking out seven, as the Nebraska City Post 8 Seniors defeated Falls City 3-1 on Thursday, June 21, at Falls City.

Nebraska City have won four out of it’s last five games.  In this contest, pitching and defense were solid.

Clay Stovall, who had three hits this game, doubled in the first inning and later scored on a hard hit single by Trent Fahey and NC took an early 1-0 lead.

Falls City tied the game in the second with a sacrifice RBI by Milam, but that’s all Falls City would score throughout the rest of the game.

After a Knoell walk in the fourth inning, Garrett Bassinger smacked a single to right field as Knoell came around to score and Stovall would cross home plate on an error to give NC a 3-1 lead.

On the mound, Knoell continued to cruise the rest of the way and in the bottom of the seventh inning, Knoell threw 11 pitches and Nebraska City claimed it’s eighth win on the year.

Stovall went 3-for-4 with two singles, double, and two runs scored.
