There’s just one more game to go for the Lourdes Central boys’ basketball team as the Knights shoot for another state appearance after defeating East Butler in the subdistrict championship 49-44 in overtime.
Quinten Vasa scored 25 points to lead the Knights to victory on Friday, Feb. 23, at Raymond Central.
The Knights have won eight of their last 10 games and are sitting with a 17-8 record.
Against East Butler, the Knights outscored the Tigers 9-4 in overtime.
On Tuesday, Feb. 27, Lourdes will take on Walthill for the district championship at the Elkhorn South High School and will try to punch another ticket to state.  
Walthill defeated  Pender 55-36 in their subdistrict final.
Lourdes has won the last two state championships. The Knights defeated Walthill in a thriller in the state finals two years ago.
