The Lourdes girls’ basketball team recorded a senior night win at home on Jan. 19 as the Knights picked up the tempo after a three-point first quarter and defeated Lewiston 42-20.
Jacey Kreifels and Ivye Meyer led the Knights in scoreing with seven points each.  Other Knights who contributed were Anna Heng, six; Emma Heng, five; Gina McGowen and Brianna Fulton, four each; Olivia Welch, three; Elaina Madison, Macey Allgood, and Libby Baumert, two each.
After a tough start in the first quarter, the Lourdes defense stepped up and was able to get the momentum in the next three quarters of play.
“We turned up the pressure a little bit on defense and got a few steals and put backs,” Coach Clay Carlton said.  “Some young girls came in and played really well for us off the bench and gave us a lot of energy.”
Carlton felt his team was lacking in energy but said Brianna Fulton came in and gave the Knights a spark.
“Our best run was with three freshman on the floor,” Carlton said.
