Syracuse-Dunbar-Avoca runners will be in action on Tuesday, Sept. 19, at the Branched Oak Lake for the Malcolm Invite.
The girls’ and boys’ teams were most recently in action on Thursday, Sept. 7, for the Fairbury Invite with Luke Wilkinson and Ellie Wilkinson both scoring second place finishes.
Luke ran 18:30.45 in the boys’ race and Ellie led the Rocket girls’ team with a race time of 21:49.39.
Other non-placing times for the Rocket boys’ team were Grant Orchard, 21:17.87; Colton Rahe, 22:57.79; Seth Dey, 22:58; Grant Stubbendeck, 24:19.70; Spencer Bridgmon, 24:23.84.
There were 13 teams recording scores for the boys’ division with S-D-A placing eighth. Thayer Central was the team champion for the meet. Blue Hill/Red Cloud had the top individual finisher with a time of 18:11.18 and took fourth in the team race.
Other non-placing times for the Rocket girls’ team were Emma Porter, 24:37.25; and Kayla Arnold, 25:46.84.
S-D-A did not record a team score in the girls’ race. A total of eight teams recorded team scores with McCool Junction having the top team score and the top individual time of 21:23.54.
