Robert Leslie “Bob” Biggs, 84, of Fairmont, Mont., went home to be with his Lord and Savior on May 6, 2017.  
He was born June 12, 1932 in Palmyra.
Bob graduated from Palmyra High School where he excelled at baseball and basketball, and he went on to play basketball at Nebraska Wesleyan University in Lincoln.  
Bob supported his family with a 43 year career with Northern Natural Gas Company/Enron.  
He began his career at the Palmyra compressor plant in construction and continued his career with transfers to Waterloo, Iowa; Ventura, Iowa; Platteville, Wisc.; and retiring as District Manager of both the Welcome, Minn., and Paulina, Iowa, districts.  
Bob was very gifted as a carpenter, mechanic, and electrician.  
For several years he had a television and radio repair business.
Bob married Roberta Thomson on March 6, 1954, in Palmyra.  
He is survived by his loving wife Roberta of 63 years.  He is also survived by his brother Max (Carol) Biggs and sister Lorraine Chambers;  his three children Deborah (Philip) Smith, Mala (Rodney) Houston, & Mark (Jane) Biggs; nine grandchildren Megan (Michael) Chastain, Evan, Austin, & Colin (Megan) Smith; Samuel Houston, Audrey (Joshua) Galvin, and Jacob Houston;  Brandon and Hannah Biggs, and two great-granddaughters Riley Smith and Lily Chastain.  
Bob was preceded in death by his parents Leslie and Gladys Biggs, brother Duane Biggs and his wife Shirley, and brother-in-law Jerry Chambers.   
As a young married man Bob trusted Jesus Christ as his Savior at a Billy Graham crusade in Omaha.  
He left a legacy of being a faithful husband, loving his family and worshipping his savior.  
A celebration of Bob’s life will be Saturday, May 13, at 3 p.m. at Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home, 6800 S. 14th St. Lincoln, NE 68512.
 Graveside service will immediately follow.
