Tracksters from Lourdes Central Catholic were in action on Tuesday at the Falls City Sacred Heart Invite at Syracuse-Dunbar-Avoca High School.
Lourdes placed fourth on the girls side in a field of 11 teams by posting 71 points, while the Knight boys’ team took sixth with 43 points.
Winning the girls’ meet with 103.5 points was Pawnee City. Sterling was second at 85. Douglas County West won the boys’ side with 97 points and Sterling had 91.
The Knight girls’ team was led by a number of multiple medal performances.
Laura Box ran second in the 400 meters, 1:03.75; was second in the 300 hurdles, 49.24, and leaped to second in the long jump, 16’1.25”.
Anna Heng was second in the 1600 meter run, 6:25.71, second in the 3200, 13:53.46, and fourth in the 800, 2:46.41.
Elaina Madison ran fourth in the 400, 1:06.01, and fourth in the triple jump, 32’3.75”.
Also scoring was Addie DeFreece, sixth in the 800, 2:50.01.
Two relay teams scored for the Lourdes girls with the 4x400 team taking fist in a time of 4:22.78. The 4x800 team was second at 11:14.9.
Colter Fulton, Brandon Fredrichs and Colton Davis posted the points for the Lourdes boys.
Fulton was first in the 300 hurdles, 44.0; fifth in the 400, 54.07; and sixth in the long jump, 18’4.5”.
Fredrichs was second in both the 110 hurdles, 17.22; and 300 hurdles, 44.84.
Davis was second in the shot, 46’3.5”; and third in the discus, 134’07”.
