David Allen DeHart, 40, of Sacramento, Calif., died on Saturday, May 30, 2009 in California. He was born on April 2, 1969 in Seattle, Wash., to Jay E. And Anne L. (Moore) DeHart and grew up in Vallejo, Calif., and then lived in Nebraska City for several years.
He is survived by his parents, Jay and Anne DeHart, and his grandmother Audrey Moore of Nebraska City; brother Matthew DeHart and wife Amy of Carrollton, Ga.; daughters Maggie and Lily Elliot of Atlantic, Iowa; uncle Mike DeHart and wife Karen of Nebraska City; aunt Penny Palmer and husband Jim of Nebraska City; aunt Pam Henry and husband Lacy of Fresno, Calif.; and uncle David Moore and wife Marie of Grass Valley, Calif.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Charles Moore.
David had a love of nature and astronomy. He had a passion for music and loved to play his guitar. He had a kind and gentle spirit and loved helping others.
A memorial service will be held at Syracuse Baptist Church on Saturday, June 13, at 11 am.
Interment will be in Sacramento.
