Alice Victoria “Vicky” Breidenstine, 76, Lincoln, died Sunday, June 7, 2009. She was born on Dec. 19, 1932 in Greensboro, N.C., to Kyle and Maie (Jackson) Prevo. She married Lester Earl Breidenstine, Sr. on April 28, 1951.

Alice is known in Nebraska City for her years of dedicated work at the Nebraska City Manor as a nurses aide and care staff member. Following her retirement she often volunteered her services with the residents at the manor and other church groups.

She is survived by son Lester Earl Breidenstine, Jr., Beaver Crossing; daughters Karen Lynn Gardner, Topock, Ariz., and Ann Marie West, Waverly; grandchildren Joshua Ray West and Nicole Rae West, Lincoln; sisters Cleo Manuel, Galena Park, Texas, and Barbara Wandell, Green Lane, Pa.; and brothers Willie Prevo, Bowie, Md., and Donald Prevo, Stockbridge, Ga.

She was preceded in death by brothers Kyle Thomas Prevo, Jr., and Thomas Homer Prevo, and sister Gladys Cates.

Funeral service is at 10 a.m. Friday, June 12, at Roper and Sons Chapel, 4300 ‘O’ St., Lincoln, with Pastor Scott Hecht officiating. Interment  is at 1 p.m. at Wyuka Cemetery, Nebraska City.

Memorials are suggested to the family for future designation.

Visitationis 4-8 p.m. Thursday with family greeting friends from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
