Raymond Donald Lee Crowner, 72, of Nebraska City, commonly called Don or Donald, died Aug. 17, 2010 at the Ambassador in Nebraska City. He was born Oct. 25, 1937 in Nebraska City to Shubert and Ottilia (Sims) Crowner. He graduated from Nebraska City High School in 1957.
He worked at Morton House Kitchens in Nebraska City, Trump Manufacturing plant at Plattsmouth, then on a hog farm outside Otoe. He moved into Riverview Terrace then Ambassador Care Center.
As a young man, he enjoyed golfing, bowling, and fishing. He enjoyed watching wrestling matches at the Memorial Building and in Omaha. He liked dogs and watching tv, especially Westerns.
He is survived by brothers oe Crowner, John Strange of Murray and Mike Strange of Bloomsdale, Mo.; sisters Linda Strange of New Jersey, Patty Weber of Bloomsdale and Wanda Strange Beline of Guam; and other family and friends.
Memorial services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 23, at Gude Mortuary in Nebraska City. Inurnment will follow at Wyuka Cemetery.
