Beatrice (Huber) Stastny, 80, of Yerington, Nev., died May 24, 2010 at Oceanside, Calif. She was born Feb. 28, 1930 at Nebraska City to George and Daisy Huber. She married Francis Stastny on April 12, 1977 in Lincoln.

    She is survived by her husband, Francis Stastny of Yerington; daughter Loni Adams of Oceanside; sons Brad Adams and wife Ping and Blake Adams, all of San Francisco; two grandchildren; brother Ben Huber and wife Pauline of Schuyler; sisters Mary Staack and husband John of Syracuse, Dorothy Gruenemeyer of Indianapolis, Yvonne Smith of Meridian, Idaho, and Karen Reinecke of Hughson, Calif.; sister-in-law Joan Huber of Nebraska City; and several nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.

    She was preceded by brother, Bruce.

    She formerly lived in Nebraska City and Dwight, Neb.

    She was a member of Yerington Ladies Club.

    She graduated from Nebraska City High School in 1948 and the Bryan School of Nursing in Lincoln in 1951. She worked in various hospitals and nursing homes throughout California and Nebraska for 50 years.  She loved to stay in touch with her nursing friends.

    Memorial services are at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 11, at Marshall Funeral Chapel in Nebraska City with Father Michael Stec of St. Paulinus Catholic Church in Syracuse officiating. Burial will be at Cowles Hill (Old Wyoming) Cemetery near Nebraska City.

    Memorials are suggested to the ALS of the Heartland, Inc., 6277 South 118th St., Omaha, NE 68137-3574.

    Visitation is one hour before services at the funeral home.
