Betty June Smith, 75, of Nebraska City, died on Sunday, May 31, 2009 at Madonna Rehabilitation Hospital in Lincoln. She was born on June 29, 1933 at Wyoming, Neb., northwest of Nebraska City, the daughter of Fred O. and Emma M. (Cutler) Smith. 
She married Paul Wayne Smith on Jan. 4, 1963 in Las Vegas.  He preceded her in death on April 30, 1992.
Betty was a housewife and homemaker and was a member of the Calvary Community Church in Nebraska City.
She is survived by her children:  Jon Loreman and wife Deb of York and Brenda Hensel of Pomona, Calif.; two grandchildren:  Eric and Chad; three great-grandchildren: Creighton, Zayden and Payton; sisters:  Shirley Kennell and husband Gene and Zoe Harger, all of Nebraska City; brothers James Smith of Brighton, Colo., and Charles Smith of Nebraska City; nieces, nephews, other family and many friends.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by brothers: Howard, Lee Allen and Vantine Smith.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday morning at 10:30 a.m. at the Gude Mortuary in Nebraska City with Rev. Norman Anderson officiating.  Burial will be in the Cowles Hill Cemetery northwest of Nebraska City.
The family will greet friends from 7-8 p.m. Tuesday at the Gude Mortuary.
Memorials may be given to Calvary Community Church in Nebraska City.
