Carolyn Sue Booker, daughter of Carl and Frances (Barrett) Jaeckel was born Jan. 19, 1944 in Hamburg.  Carolyn passed away Nov. 4, 2018, at Garden View Care Center in Shenandoah, at the age of 74.
Carolyn grew up in the Sidney, area and being an only child, was adored by her parents.  She was the apple of her father’s eye.  She attended elementary school and high school in Sidney and graduated from Sidney High School with the class of 1962.
Following graduation, Carolyn attended business school in Omaha.  She then went to Washington D.C. where she worked for the Department of Navy for one year.  This was particularly a very interesting job which she enjoyed very much.
In 1963, Carolyn returned to Sidney, to marry Forrest “Frosty” Booker.  They made their home in North Platte, Nebr.  They enjoyed going camping, square dancing, being camp hosts and meeting new people.
Forrest passed away in 2003.  There were no children to this marriage, however, Carolyn and Forrest loved each other deeply and enjoyed their years together.
Carolyn moved to Shenandoah in 2016.  She made her home at Forest Park Manor where she made many friends. She enjoyed taking part in all the activities and helping whenever she could.  One of Carolyn’s favorite activities was playing dominoes and whenever she got a call wanting to know if she wanted to join in on a game her answer was always “Yes”!
She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Shenandoah and attended church regularly or whenever she could.
Due to her health, Carolyn was confined to a wheel chair in 2006, but this did not stop her from living her life to the fullest.  She was always happy, had a smile and always wanted to help someone else.
In November of 2017 she entered Garden View Care Center in Shenandoah where she lived the remainder of her life.
Carolyn is survived by relatives and many friends.  She will be missed by everyone who knew her for her friendliness and for her everlasting love for Jesus.
