On April 27, 2018, Captain Robert N. Futscher, son of Anna and Freeman Futscher, passed away in Guadalajara, Mexico, at the age of 96.
He was at home surrounded by family and he left this world in peace.
Robert was born in Rulo, in 1922.
He then moved to California as a child, served in the Air Force during WWII, then settled in Mexico to pursue his passion for the arts.
It was there that he would meet and marry the love of his life, Carmen.
Together they started a family, and created a weekly tourism newspaper called Guadalajara Weekly. It became an international success and was printed in house for nearly 60 years.
He was a successful pilot, a dedicated artist, and a true hero to many.
A family man that had the deepest love and respect from everyone who knew him.
Robert is survived by his devoted wife of 68 years, and his three loving children Ana, Aida, and Eric.
He will be forever missed by his many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
