Della C. Rinne, age 92 of Dunbar, passed away on Saturday, June 9, 2018, at the Ambassador in Nebraska City.
Della Cecilia (Schroeder) Rinne was born May 1, 1926 in Dunbar, to Benjamin and Freda Schroeder.  She was baptized June 6, 1926, by Reverend C. Eller at St. John’s - McWilliams Evangelical Church. She was confirmed Palm Sunday, April 2, 1939, by Reverend Max Strasburg.
Della married Gaylord Rinne on June 19, 1947.  They were married by Reverend Albert Brueggeman and Reverend Alfred Rinne, both uncles of Gaylord.  They had two children, Dennis Harvey born Feb. 14, 1952, and Denise Kay born June 17, 1956.
Della loved playing the piano, and could be found playing and leading the “Sing Along” in many places around the area.  She also loved caring for her lawn, garden, and flowers as well as traveling, dancing, (especially the jitter bug) and spending time with her grandson Matt, his wife Carrie, and their two daughters Emma and Sadie.
Della lived her entire life in the Dunbar area and attended District 82 School until the eighth grade, when she stayed at home to help on the family farm. She was a member of McWilliams Evangelical Church, Nebraska City Presbyterian Church, McWilliams Women’s Fellowship, and a TOPS member for many years.
She will be remembered for all of the love and happiness she brought to many with her warm smile and great sense of humor.  She enjoyed a good laugh and was a positive influence in the lives of many.
Survivors include:  son Dennis (Cindra) Rinne of Dunbar, daughter, Denise (Keith) Valenzuela of Dunbar, grandson Matt, (Carrie) Rinne, great grand daughters Emma and Sadie of Lincoln, brother, Harvey (Mary) Schroeder of Surprise, Ariz., special long-time friend Richard Harms and special friends, Bunky, Lois and Edith,  as well as many nieces and nephews.
Della was preceded in death by her husband Gaylord on Dec. 7, 1991, parents, as well as many in-laws.
A Memorial Service will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, June 18, at St. John’s UCC - McWilliams Church in Talmage.  Inurnment will be held at 3 p.m. on June 18 at Wyuka Cemetery in Nebraska City.
The family will greet friends from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday, June 17 at Gude Mortuary in Nebraska City. Memorials may be given to the Dunbar Rural Fire Department or McWilliams UCC Church.
