Neta Bell Sumner, age 95 of Nebraska City passed away on Saturday, May 5, 2018, at Nebraska City Care & Rehab Center.
Neta was born on Dec. 10, 1922, in Polk County, Mo.; the daughter of Lee and Cora (Paul) Williams.
On Feb. 8, 1939, she was united in marriage to Orval Raymond Sumner in Osceola, Missouri.  He preceded her in death on July 24, 1995.
The couple moved to Nebraska City where they lived for many years.
Neta worked at the former Morton House Kitchen for 15 years and then worked at the former Valley View Nursing Home as a Nurses Aid for 25 years before retiring in 1990.
Neta was a former member of the United Methodist Church in Nebraska City.
She is survived by her children:  Mark Sumner of Fremont and Ted Sumner of Tampico, Ill.; 12 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; other family and friends.
Funeral Services are to be held at 11 a.m. Monday (May 14) at the Gude Mortuary in Nebraska City with Pastor Terry Weible officiating.  Burial was to follow in the Wyuka Cemetery of Nebraska City.
The family was greet friends from 10 a.m. until service time at Gude Mortuary.
