Stephanie Louise Dittberner, passed away on Wednesday April 25, 2018, at the Louisville Care Center. She was 70 years old.
Stephanie Louise Riedemann, the daughter of Billie (Gathman) and Irvin Riedemann, was born Nov. 14, 1947, in Hartley, Iowa.
She was the oldest of four children, all girls. Stephanie attended Hartley High School and graduated in 1966.
In 1968, Stephanie married Richard C. Dittberner of Canton, S.D. They had two sons together, and later separated.
In 1994, Stephanie found her best friend, Fay Smith and they lived together in Hamburg.  
They loved gardening and could be seen selling tomatoes in the area during the summer months.  
Stephanie was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis at an early age, but never let this interrupt her activities with her boys, family, and friends.
Stephanie worked as a Certified Nurses Aid and Activities Director at several Long-Term Care Facilities and was the Owner of Sheldon Health and Diet in Sheldon, Iowa.
Stephanie is survived by her two sons, Chad (Lori) Dittberner of Louisville and Jason (Angie) Dittberner of Lincoln, Nebr., and four grandchildren, Morgan and Chase of Louisville, Nebr., and Hope and Nathaniel of Lincoln, Nebr.
She is also survived by her three sisters: Deborah Rogister of Star, Idaho; Christine (Craig) Kolb of Spencer, Iowa; and Paula (Bill) Herbes of Sparta, N.J.
Stephanie is preceded in death by her parents, and one brother-in-law, Bill Rogister.
The funeral will be Monday, May 14 at 11 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church in Louisville. Lunch will immediately follow at the church.
The family requests that a memorial be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society in lieu of flowers.
