Marie L. Holman, 95 of Lincoln, passed away April 20, 2018.
Marie Louise (Schmale) Holman was born to Fritz and Emma (Reier) Schmale on Aug. 26, 1922, at Cortland.  
She was baptized and confirmed at Christ Lutheran Church, Pickrell.  
She was united in marriage to Irvin Holman on April 10, 1944.  To this union three children were born, Carol, Laura and Gary.
Irvin and Marie lived in Beatrice when they were first married.  
Marie worked for the Campbell Soup Company in Tecumseh and also in the grocery store in Burr.     
Survived by her daughter, Carol Moss, Omaha, son Gary Holman, Beatrice, grandchildren, Colleen Carpenter (Greg), Bill Moss (Jennifer) and John Moss (Mycala), great-grandchildren, Raeanna Moss, Alex Carpenter, Zach Carpenter, Tomi Marie Moss and Hudson Moss, brother, Harry Schmale (Lois), Beatrice, sister-in-law, Rebecca Schmale, Cortland and nieces and nephews.
Marie was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Irvin, (1997), daughter, Laura Rose Price and brother Harvey Schmale.
Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, April 24, at the Hope Lutheran Church in Burr, with Rev. Jim Helgren officiating.  
Organist, Dianne Riensche, accompanied Alex Carpenter as he sang “Amazing Grace” and congregational hymns, “How Great Thou Art” and Just As I Am.”
Pallbearers were Bill Moss, John Moss, Greg Carpenter, Alex Carpenter, Zach Carpenter, Daryl Schmale and Bob Holman.  Interment was in the Hope Lutheran Cemetery, Burr.  Services were entrusted to Wherry Mortuary, Tecumseh.
