Lon Edward Bottcher was born on Jan. 23, 1934, in Talmage.
Lon passed away on Feb. 9, 2018 due to the complications of the heart at Presbyterian Hospital in Rio Rancho, New Mexico surrounded by his loving family.
Lon was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Joata (Osborn) Bottcher and his son, Jeffrey Bottcher.
Lon is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Kim Bottcher; son: Dan and daughter: Carol and husband, Jose; grandchildren: Lonnie, Jonathan and Hannah; brother: Lyman Bottcher and wife, Kathleen; brothers-in-law: Khai Truong (VietNam), John Truong (California) and Hieu Truong (France).
He is also survived by numerous nephews and nieces around the country.
Lon retired as a professor from Guam Community College in 1988 and retired from Guam National Guard in 1995.
He was a lifetime member of the American Legion, Post 246, and is a Mason.
Viewing will be held on Saturday, Feb. 17, at Charter Oak Christian Church in Talmage at 10 a.m. and funeral service at 11 a.m. followed by the interment at Grant Evergreen Cemetery in Talmage.
Reception will be served at the Talmage Community Center after the burial service.
