Margaret Ann (Ullsperger) Heng, age 98 of Lincoln, formerly Nebraska City, passed away on Dec. 15, 2017, at Gateway Vista in Lincoln.
She was born May 25, 1919, in rural Nebraska City; the daughter of Francis J. and Johanna C. (Lock) Ullsperger.  
She graduated from St. Bernard’s Academy in 1937 in Nebraska City.  
She worked two years for the School for the Blind. She also worked a few years at Porter Orchard Apple Barn.
She wed Irvin Heng on Sept.16, 1941, at St. Joseph’s Church in Paul.  
She was a homemaker after marriage raising four children.  
Margaret followed Irvin while he was in the service living off base with Irvin Jr.  After the service, they moved back to Nebraska City where Patricia, Jane and Julie were born.  
Margaret was widowed in July 1973 and continued to live a long healthy life.
She moved to Lincoln to be near her children in 1989.
Margaret was a good cook and enjoyed her children and grandchildren.  
Her hobbies were gardening and working in the yard.  
She continued to live in her own home with the help of her daughter Jane until she passed.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Francis and Johanna Ullsperger, brother, Francis Jr, sisters, Isabella Francois, Ellanora Kirtley, brother-in law Ralph Heng and nephew Jerome Ullsperger.
She is survived by a son; Irvin (Sue) Heng, Jr. of  Lincoln, daughters; Patricia (Duane) Ehmen of Syracuse, Jane Mick of Lincoln and Julie (Francis) Volkmer of Nebraska City,  sister-in-law Barb Heng, Liberty, Mo.; nieces Catherine Sawyer, Jennie Shiley, Sharon Martin, Karen Todd, Marilyn Williams. nephews, David Ullsperger and Michael Heng; her beloved grandchildren: Jennifer Potterf, Patrick Heng, Ron Ehmen, Sherlyn Damme, Matt and Paul Mick and Sarah Mast; and 15 great-grandchildren.
A funeral mass was to be be held Tuesday (12/19) at 11 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Nebraska City with burial following in St. Mary's Cemetery. A Rosary was to be recited Monday (12/18) at 7 p.m. at Gude Mortuary.
Memorials may be given to St. Mary's Catholic Church in her memory.
