Carol L. O’Flaherty, age 68 of Nebraska City passed away on Thursday, Nov. 23, 2017, at Methodist Hospital in Omaha.
Carol was born on April 30, 1949, in Nebraska City; the daughter of Clyde Chester and Alyce Ann (Childers) Stoll.  She attended school in Nebraska City and graduated from Nebraska City High School with the class of 1967.  She then attended Peru State College.
She was united in marriage to David Wilberger and later married Michael O’Flaherty on April 16, 1992, in Nebraska City.  Mike preceded her in death on Aug. 8, 2007.  
Carol worked at the Ambassador in Housekeeping Department and previously worked as a cook at various restaurants.
Carol is survived by her children:  Melissa R. McFarlane and husband David of Scottsdale, Ariz., and Clyde Wilberger and wife Alyssa of Yutan; step-children:  Michael J. O’Flaherty, Jr.,  Michele O’Flaherty-Hyde, Matthew Scott O’Flaherty and Lisa O’Flaherty; seven grandchildren:  Joshua, Bryan, and Alexander Nosky, Madison McFarlane, Justin Wilberger and Taylor Allen and husband Stephen, Caden Erftmier; one great-granddaughter Lillian; her father Clyde Stoll of Nebraska City; siblings:  Alyce Hollesen of Nebraska City, Deborah Hlavac (Dean) of Louisville, Clydene Stoll of Omaha, Brenda Vodicka (Ken) of Nebraska City, Ellen Stoll of Nebraska City, Lori Bennett (Tom) of Nebraska City and Paula Avery (Greg) of Nebraska City; other family and friends.
She was preceded in death by infant twin sons John Timothy and Joseph Thomas on March 22, 1969 and her mother Alyce Stoll.
Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 29, at Gude Mortuary in Nebraska City with Fr. Michael McCabe officiating.  Burial will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Nebraska City.
The family will greet friends from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Tuesday evening at the mortuary.
Memorials may be given to St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Nebraska City.
