Bettymae Anderson, age 88 of Nebraska City died July 13, 2017, at her home.  
Bettymae was born November 3, 1928, on a farm between Otoe and Avoca, the daughter of Fred and Helen (Bossung) Weber.  
She married Walter Anderson Feb. 24, 1952, in Dunbar.  
Walter died July 3, 1997.  Bettymae was a lifelong resident of Nebraska City and worked many years beside her husband running Anderson Motors and Towing.  
Bettymae was a member of the First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) and was an avid reader.  
She had previously served on the Nebraska City Board of Adjustments.  
Survivors include her daughters, Cindy Kempkes and husband Steven of Omaha and Angela Anderson of Nebraska City; grandchildren, Chris Kempkes, Brian Kempkes, Michael Kempkes and Dan Kempkes; great grandchildren, Joey Wyatt Kempkes and Grace Kempkes; brother in law, Leroy Anderson of Ogallala; many other relatives and friends.  
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brother, Cecil Anderson and wife Simone; sister, Nellie Young and husband Donald and sister in law, Alice Anderson.
Graveside funeral services were to be 2 p.m. Monday, July 17, 2017, at Wyuka Cemetery in Nebraska City.
Visitations were to be 1 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Marshall Funeral Chapel with the family greeting friends from 5 to 7 p.m.
