Marie Naber of Lakewood, Colo., passed away April 11, 2017, at Bethany Health Care at the age of 105.
She was born Jan. 8, 1912, to Dorette and Adolph Meyer Sr., by Cook. She was the youngest of 13 children.
Marie married August Naber Sept. 19, 1936. They farmed for 10 years, then in 1946, they moved to Douglas, where they raised three children: Lovenda, Brenda, and Rodney.
In 1962, Marie started a greenhouse that grew into Naber’s Nursery and Grogery. In 1983, she and August moved to Colorado to live with their son, Rodney.
She was preceded in death by her husband, August; her daughter, Lovenda; her parents; her siblings; and many nieces and nephews.
She is survived by her daughter Brenda (Richard) of Syracuse; her son, Rodney, of Lakewood, Colo.; six granddaughters, three grandsons; nine great-granddaughters, four great-grandsons; four great-great-granddaughters, five great-great-grandsons; and many nieces and nephews greats and great-greats.
Memorial services will be held at Crowhill Chapel in Lakewood at 10 a.m. May 26. Spreading of her ashes will be at 2:30 p.m. May 26 at Mt. Linda.
