Nebraska City police received a call from a residence on the 300 block of north Sixth Street Sunday that snowmen were being beaten with baseball bats.
The caller said young men jumped out of a bright red SUV, ran into his yard and beat the snowmen into a mound. A neighbor’s snowman apparently met the same fate.
“The neighbor thought the snowman had just melted, but no, it was clubbed,” police report.
