Nebraska City, Neb. -

The Otoe County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an all-terrain vehicle accident Sunday afternoon that left two people with broken legs.

A northbound ATV crossed the railroad tracks on Road 36 fives miles south of Otoe, but could not negotiate a sharp curve.

The ATV left the roadway and went into a clump of trees in the ditch.

Injured were 16-year-old Victoria Haight of Syracuse and 15-year-old John Mueller of Nebraska City.

The teens were transported by rescue squad to Syracuse and later transferred to a Lincoln hospital.
