City council to consider water main, annexation and audits

The Nebraska City City Council is scheduled to meet at 6 p.m. on Feb. 6 at city hall.

The agenda includes the economic development annexation, a blight study for the annexed area, utility and city audits, and a $520,000 project for the water main.

Mayor Jack Hobbie is scheduled to name Elden Plattner as a probationary member of the EMS Division and recognize Connie Driever for 32 years service to the rescue squad.

Ryan Swinton of Midlands Financial Benefits wil discuss employe health benefits.

A public works project to rebuild overhead electric service and provide underground service to a customer south of Julian.

City code changes to clear up archaic language are also planned.

A resolution for no parking on 12th Corso, the fee schedule for the EMS Division and street sign maintenance will also be discussed.
