The Nebraska State Patrol arrested a 38-year-old Palmyra man April 21 for suspicion of sexual assault of a 10-year-old Lincoln boy.

Joe W. Cool, formerly known as Brent Wheatley, was identified during an FBI investigation into child pornography that originated in Los Angeles, Calif.
The Lincoln/Lancaster County Child Advocacy Center reported that the alleged victim described sexual contact with Cool.

Nebraska and federal agents seized computers and hard drives from Cool’s residence on the day of arrest. Court records indicate that a photo containing a sexual depiction of a minor was found on a hard drive.

Otoe County Attorney David Partsch filed two charges alleging sexual assaults between January of 2009 and April of 2010.
