Nebraska City, Neb. -

A horse drawn carriage rampaged out of control at the Lied Lodge and Conference Center parking lot April 3.

Police report that the carriage was traveling east in the parking lot when something spooked a horse and caused it to “take off rapidly.”

The carriage, driven by 32-year-old Joel Hadden of Sidney, Iowa, hit a curb with the passenger side wheels. The wheels broke off, flinging debris into a Toyota van owned by Jeremy and Valerie Lackey of Lincoln.

There were no injuries.
