Community Memorial Hospital is preparing for a Grand Opening Ceremony at their new facility to be held Nov. 1.  A Community Open House and Tours will be from 4-7:30 p.m. at the new location north of Highway 2 on Highway 50.
All are welcome to tour the facility, enjoy refreshments, and visit with department heads during the open house.  The new hospital is expected to open later in the month, but a final date is not available at this time.
Community Memorial Hospital will soon change its name to Syracuse Area Health, a name that will best encompass all that they offer including hospital, clinic, specialty clinics, and a variety of other outpatient services.  The Auxiliary and Foundation will also have a name change to Syracuse Area Health.
The capital campaign raised $1,441,789 for the new facility.  Laura Lea Fossenbarger, Director of Foundation, Quality & Community Outreach, said, “I’m appreciative of the support and generosity of the community - past and present.”
There are an estimated 80-90 workers a day at the facility right now working diligently to complete all of the work in time for opening.  The open house will be a great opportunity for the public to view the facility and learn more about everything they will offer.
