The Boil Order issued by the State of Nebraska last week for Otoe County Rural Water Districts 1 and 2 is still in effect. The good news is that the first five water samples taken Friday have tested clear of contamination. Water samples are being taken again, as required by rules governing public water supply. The samples will be taken to the state lab in Lincoln as quickly as possible with results likely to be known in one or two days. If those samples test clear of contamination, the Nebraska State Health Department will let the water district know that the water is once again safe to consume.
