The first Alumni meeting was held on October 26, 1938 and was called "Homecoming." During the meeting, there were 155 Alumni that attended; and the first graduate, Cornelia Petring Kimmel, class of 1880 was honored. A parade of decorated cars filled with Alumni drove up CentralAvenue. The second Alumni meeting was held on November 3, 1939 where officers were elected and committees were appointed. For many years, the alumni activities were guided by Wilma McIntire, class of 1924. The Alumni Banquet's main purpose is to keep in contact with the 8000 NCHS Alumni; and to award scholarships and grants to deserving NCHS seniors.
All NCHS Alumni are welcome to attend. For questions, to make a reservation or for more information about the Alumni Banquet, contact the Nebraska City High School Alumni Foundation via email at email@example.com.
