The “Swing for the Fuller's Softball Tournament” is scheduled for Aug. 19 at the Syracuse Sports Complex, and, although the team signup is closed, there are still many ways to participate and support the Fuller family.
Chad Fuller was a teacher and a coach in Syracuse.  He was injured in a July lake accident, and he is currently at Madonna Rehabilitation Hospital in Lincoln.
A free will donation lunch of hamburgers, hot dogs, pulled pork, chips, homemade bars, ice cream, and drinks will be served from 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m.
Adults and children can participate in the Homerun Derby from 11:30a.m.-3pm.  Adults are $10, and students are $5.  Youth participants get a free cone or dish from Dairy Chef and will be registered to win prizes like free zoo passes or Amazing Pizza Machine coupons (and more).
Many generous donors have provided great items for the raffle; tickets are $5 for each entry.  Prizes include Husker Football tickets, Husker Volleyball tickets, KC Chiefs tickets, Omaha Storm Chasers tickets, a tailgating package with Yeti Cooler, and much more.  The raffle drawings begin at 11:30a.m.
Short sleeved t-shirts will be sold for $20, and order forms will be available for long-sleeved or sweatshirts.
In addition to all of the events at Syracuse Sports Complex, Dairy Chef will hold an Ice-Cream Social Friday 8:p.m.-10p.m., Saturday 2p.m.-5p.m., and Saturday 8p.m.-10p.m.  A free small cone or dish will be provided with choice of ice cream and 100% of donations will go to the Fuller family.
