The Otoe County Board of Commissioners met on Tuesday, June 13, and took the following actions:
The board authorized the acceptance of a $54,119 2017-2018 Community-Based Aid Grant and a $3,798 2017-2018 Community-Based Aid Enhancement Grant from the Nebraska Crime Commission.
The board accepted a bid of $2,150 from John Bebout on a 2008 Ford Expedition that had been declared surplus.
Commissioners also voted to place a 1978 grove crane on sale online after none of the three mail-in bids they received were accepted.
The board approved a preliminary plat of the North Wind Subdivision at North 2nd Road and County Road C after developer Darrin Loftus reviewed his plan with Mainelli Wagner in Lincoln and received engineering approval from Mark Mainelli.
Commissioners approved a $125 increase in the cash-in-lieu payments offered to employees as an option to providing group health insurance.
The board approved a bid of $43,364.71 from Tim Sisco Construction LLC for a bridge project at the intersection of County Roads G and 24. This bridge has been closed since May 2015.
Commissioners accepted a bid of $34,897.85 from Pavers Inc. to pave the County Road K
entrance from Highway 50, which is part of the Midwest Farmers Cooperative grain shuttle facility project.
The Otoe County Board of Commissioners is next scheduled to meet at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday, July 11, in the Otoe County Courthouse.
