Weather permitting, the north ramps of N-2 on the southeast edge of Nebraska City are scheduled to be switched to head-to-head traffic beginning on March 9 and will be in place until the anticipated completion in the fall of 2017, according to the Nebraska Department of Roads.

The traffic change will facilitate the construction of the new ramps on the south side of N-2 and new N-2 paving. Traffic will be maintained at all times and will be controlled by traffic signals at the N-2/US-7 intersection.  Speed limits will be reduced and fines for speeding will be enforced when workers are present. The project is anticipated to be completed in the fall of 2017.

The Department of Roads’ manager for this project is Mike Habegger of Tecumseh.  Motorists are reminded to use caution when driving through construction zones, and to watch out for construction vehicles entering and exiting construction areas.
