Not that I’m shallow or anything, but the reason we got the dog that we did was because he matched the couch. I thought I was being smart because we had all black furniture and we got a black dog so none of the dog hair would show on anything. Unfortunately, three months after we got the dog we got all new, gold-colored furniture. I thought about swapping our black dog out for a yellow dog, but we had already gotten attached to it (the dog, not the couch), so he stayed. The dog was actually the reason we got the new furniture. While his hair didn’t show on it, his teeth marks did, as well as all the stuffing that came out when he chewed the black couch to pieces.
